Deferred Giving
Deferred gifts are often given as part of an estate plan.
Deferred or planned gifts enable donors to support causes that are
important to them at life’s end. There
are many ways to leave a deferred or planned gift to the Transitions Foundation:
as a bequest through your will or living trust |
by naming the Transitions Foundation as a
beneficiary of a life insurance policy … or transferring ownership
of an existing policy to the Foundation |
by naming the Transitions Foundation a
beneficiary of your retirement plan (403b, 401k, 401b) |
through a life income plan, such as a charitable
remainder trust, a life estate, or a charitable lead trust
A deferred or planed gift may be restricted by the donor for a specific
purpose. A deferred or planned gift
can be directed to:
help children with severe developmental
disabilities |
help children, ages birth to age three, who are
at risk of delays in development |
help people with severe mental illnesses live
successfully in our community |
help people with disabilities learn work skills
and independent living skills |
help people, regardless of income, to receive
counseling services |
help provide recreational and leisure activities
for people with disabilities |
help people with disabilities living in
Transitions’ residential programs |
help with capital projects |
help
strengthen the endowment fund |
