Vocational Training

Transitions' CRC (located at 631 North 48th Street), provides vocational evaluation, work habits training, and job placement services to adults with physical and mental disabilities, adults recovering from substance abuse problems, and to adults who have little or no successful vocational experience.  Services provided include:

bulletWork Adjustment or Work Habits Training
bulletJob Coaching or Sheltered Employment
bulletIndividual Counseling/Case Management
People who are 16 years age or older are eligible for services.  Services are supported by the Illinois Office of Rehab Services and the Illinois Dept. of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.  Other fees for evaluation and training are established on a sliding fee basis.
Referrals are accepted from individuals, social service agencies, schools, physicians, or the courts.  Referrals or requests for information can be made by calling the Coordinator of Rehabilitation Services at (217) 224-2194.
